WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ‘ASCENDED CHRIST’?

After Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again, he ascended (i.e. went up) into heaven where he reigns as God’s King – just as God had promised. Our church is named after that.

I’VE NEVER HEARD OF YOUR CHURCH BEFORE … ARE YOU NEW?

Yes! We are a new church which was started by St. Mary’s Anglican Cathedral in Dataran Merdeka - one of the oldest churches in KL. We are part of a family of churches called the Anglican Diocese of West Malaysia.

I’M JUST LOOKING AT YOUR AIM. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ‘GLORIFY GOD’ AND GOD’S ‘GRACE’?

God’s ‘grace’ means God treating us far better than we ever deserved. God has been so kind to us by saving us through Jesus that we want to serve him and make his goodness known. That’s what it means to ‘glorify’ Him.

I’VE NEVER BEEN TO CHURCH BEFORE. CAN I COME?

Yes – certainly! We’d love for you to come and join us whether you’ve been a Christian for many years or you’re not a Christian but curious about Christianity. 

TELL ME MORE ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN AND STUDENT MINISTRY…

Children are very important to Jesus and they are very important to us at Ascended Christ. Children join with the adults for the first segment of the main meeting time where there is also a short children’s talk. Before the sermon, the children and junior secondary students leave for their own programmes:

0. Creche – age 0-3 
0. CLICK groups – age 3-5, 5-7 and 7-11
0. Student ministry – age 11-14

We hope to start a ministry for upper secondary students soon.

MY BABY CRIES LOTS – CAN I BRING HIM TO CHURCH?

Of course you can! We have a cry room so you can listen to what’s going on and still be part of the gathering while not worrying about your baby’s cry distracting others.
